“The Bullet” Cargo bike may change the way you think about getting to work, shopping, or the very necessity of having a car. Bikes often allow you to skip traffic, getting around cities faster, and giving you plenty of outdoor air and exercise.

Commuting to work on a bicycle has become a growing trend around the world. Cities like Trondheim, Norway, are stepping up with ideas like a ski-lift-type hoist that carries your bike up hills. The top cycling city in the world, Amsterdam, has over 40% of the population biking to work.

Not to be out-done, Shanghai gets in on the Cargo Bike action

Just a little lower on that list is Copenhagen. One of the largest cities in Denmark and one of the most densely populated areas in Northern Europe, It also has one of the highest standards of living and is one of the most environmentally friendly cities in the world. Water that runs through the harbor downtown is clean enough to swim in, and 36% of all citizens commute to work via bicycle.

With the massive number of cyclists on the road, you’ll find bicycles of all shapes and sizes. Out of sheer necessity, the Cargo Bike came to be. Walking the streets here, you’ll find Cargo Bikes carrying everything from groceries, a half dozen kids, to dining room tables. The city also has goes as far as to provide free public bicycles available throughout downtown, a deposit of 20 kroner gets you unlimited use, and is refunded once the bike is returned to one of the many racks across the city.
